Chip also has a media career which started in 2009 with his appearance as a guest judge on Discovery channel ‘ultimate car build off’ where auto shops from L.A, Detroit and Atlanta have the chance to fight for the glory and 100,000dollar price. There is also a new delivery room consturucted where Foose will present his clients with his creations. There will also be a large window in the reception showing the Foose crew working around the clock to complete Foose’s masterpieces. Customers will now be able to enter a new redesigned recption containing 100year old bricks from Chicago and a large show room contining all foose builds. 2014 starts with an end to Foose being confined in a small area and led to a huge expansion of 10000feet squared. Foose spend 6years working in a small 5000feet squared space with Lynee buying an aditional 5000feetsquared. His company specialises in illustration,graphics,design of car and all automotive related products all available to the public. Foose inproved his position in Boyd’s hirerichy until he became president of Hot Rods by Boyd where he designed worldwide known masterpieces such as the boydster 1 and 2 but his relationship with Boyd ended in 1998.Ĭhip started his company, Foose Designs, with his wife Lynne in Huntington Beach, California. In 1993 foose resigned at Sterenberger and soon found himself as a full time employee of BoydC oddingtons huge empire. After graduation Foose worked fulltime for sterenberger designs and parttime for doyde coddington. ![]() ![]() This dream was unfortunatly halted by financial difficulties and Chip soon found himself working for 4years at Clenet Coachworks until he had enough money to continue his schooling for a designer. In 1983 Foose was encouraged to attend the Art Center College of Design by Ford and Preston Trucker designer Alexis Tremulis where Chips natural tallent in design could be developed. by the age of 12, foose already had 5years of experience under his belt and even painted his first car, a porsche 356. Foose worked in his dads (Sam Foose, another automotive legend) shop where it was clear that he is following in his dads footsteps. The rebellious nature originally associated with hot rods was still strong, and it was cemented by the wide spread appearance of hot rods in the music and videos of rockers such as Sammy Hagar, ZZ Top, and other popular bands.The famous Eleanor in the movie ‘gone in 60seconds’with Nickolas CageĬhip Foose was born on October 13th 1963 in Santa Barbara.
